They will come to know the latest features of FTD 6.2.3 , API Explorer and Firepower device manager (FDM )
In addition to quality and usability enhancements of 6.2.3, there are several new features. Those new features are the focus of this lab. A key feature is Snort Preserve Connection. This feature ensures that connections are maintained during policy apply. Snort restart warnings have also been added. These features are covered in Scenario 1. The FMC API has been enhanced to support end-to-end deployment. End-to-end deployment is too time-consuming for the lab. In this lab, you will focus on two key use cases for the FMC REST API: Configuration Copy and deploying an HA pair. These are covered in Scenario 2 and Scenario 3, respectively. In the 6.2.3 release, the on-box Firepower Device Manager (FDM) has been greatly enhanced, and the REST API has been exposed. FDM enhancements constitute Scenarios 4 and 5 of this lab.
